White Lake Diatomaceous Earth (WLDE) is a natural grade (uncalcined), that comes from a pure DE deposit. This pure, freshwater diatomaceous earth is composed of Food Chemical Codex Grade DE made of amorphous silica (the good kind of silica). WLDE contains a naturally pure form of amorphous silicon dioxide (Si02) that contains calcium, magnesium, and other beneficial trace mineral oxides.
White Lake Diatomaceous Earth is registered for use as an inert carrier or anti-caking agent in animal feeds in an amount not to exceed two percent (2%) by weight of total ration.
The area just outside of Vale, Oregon is home to our White Lake Earth DE deposit.
Our White Lake Earth pure diatomaceous earth deposit contains a variety of fossilized Melosira species of freshwater diatoms, with a greater number of pores per diatom, and hence greater pore volume. This species of diatom provides significant absorbent qualities.
